Every day around 4,500 children call ChildLine, but lack of funds means that only 2,500 of them will get through. Children can wait in a queue for up to 30 minutes. Almost one in five calls is about abuse. In 2007 ChildLine counselled almost 140,000 children and young people. It costs on average £38 to counsel a child. By donating you can help Childline to answer more calls and help Children find someone to turn to.
The World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other biologically important lands.
